PHAN Innovations Day in Sydney 3rd February 2015
Professional Housekeepers Association NSW will hold an Innovative Products and Innovations Workshop on Tuesday 3rd February at Radisson Blu Hotel, 27 O’Connell Street, Sydney NSW 2000 from 5.00pm -7.00pm.
Refreshments will be served on arrival and canapes and cocktails on conclusion.

UKHA Share Knowledge Day – London UK on 14th January 2015
Liz presented a 90 minute session on Project Management at the UK Housekeeper Association Share Knowledge Day held at Jumeirah Carlton Towers in London recently. PHAN assists with new venture “Every Little Bit Helps” charity
The Professional Housekeepers Association NSW has teamed up with new non for profit charity in Australia - Every Little Bit Helps The charity was established in August 2014 with the specific purpose of receiving unwanted hotel toiletries, airline amenity kits, as well as make-up and cosmetic samples that are then made into care packages and redistributed to those in need. UK Housekeeping Managers 1 Day Development Programme to be held in Leeds UK on 26th January 2015
This 1 day programme is supported by UKHA and will be held on 26 January, 2015, from 9:00 am – 5.00pm at Double Tree by Hilton Leeds City Centre in Leeds UK.
The programme delivers concrete management skills for Housekeeping Managers and offers great networking opportunities and a chance to share best practice. Registration is on the L&A website, payment of £167 for the course is payable to the UKHA. Contact Sara Cockram – sara.cockram@ukha.co.uk. SEQPHA Christmas Cruise on the Gold Coast
Liz joined other members of the South East Queensland Professional Housekeepers Association last week for an evening cruise and networking session before everyone gets super busy for the Christmas season. An enjoyable evening was had by all.
PHAN Housekeeping Christmas Dinner and AGM – 4th December
The Professional Housekeepers Association of NSW will hold their AGM and annual Christmas dinner on the same day – 4th December. The AGM will be held at St Mary’s Cathedral on College Street and then the party will move down to Tharens Party Restaurant in Kings Cross.
Valitel are kindly treating members to the party night at Tharens Party Restaurant, a fun party venue that has been a mainstay of the partying side of life in Sydney for a long time They really know how to give everyone a good time. Tharens provide party hats and dress up items, entertainment and a banquet feast.

Presentation at Hong Kong Hotel Association – international trends and innovationsin Housekeeping
While she was in Hong Kong recently, Liz took the opportunity to make a presentation at the Hong Kong Hotel Association headquarters to over 40 Housekeeping Managers. The topics on global trends and innovations in Housekeeping included the exclusive use of steam to clean in hospitals in Australia, nanotechnology and liquid glass as used in the MTR in Hong Kong and continuing changes in housekeeping software such as Optii keeper.
SEQPHA Christmas Party Boat cruise 28th November 2014
The South East Queensland Professional Housekeepers Association will be holding their annual Christmas party on a boat cruise on Friday 28th November from 5-7pm.
Departure point is The Moorings Jetty, River end of Cavill Avenue, Surfers Paradise. Members and Housekeepers is $49 and $69 for non members. Maximum numbers is 45 so book early. This is a 2 hour scenic Gold Coast Sunset cruise and includes antipasto platters, cold meat, chicken and salad buffet dinner and champagne, wine, beer and soft drinks.
