PHAN assists with new venture “Every Little Bit Helps” charity

The Professional Housekeepers Association NSW has teamed up with new non for profit charity in Australia -  Every Little Bit Helps  The charity was established in August 2014 with the specific purpose of receiving unwanted hotel toiletries, airline amenity kits, as well as make-up and cosmetic samples that are then made into care packages and redistributed to those in need.

They receive donations directly from hotels and businesses as well as donations from personal and corporate travellers. Since August they have already received and then donated over 25,000 products directly back to those in need. This includes multiple Women’s Shelters and Homeless shelters that cater for ‘rough sleepers’. They have also donated to a number of charities who are specifically focused on caring for those in need. They will gratefully receive PHAN member donations of surplus or unwanted items such as shampoo, body wash, soap, hair combs and toothbrushes etc. and ask that they remember Every Little Bit Helps if they are  changing suppliers or products, going through re-branding or simply have excess stock.
